Carlin How
4th to 11th August
There is no set theme to this event so if you are feeling creative come along to one of the workshops in the local community centre and just let your imagination flow freely!
If you would rather just take in the sights then come along between 4th and 11th August there will be scarecrows on display in shop windows, gardens, house windows and we also put them up in the hall (local community centre). On Saturday 11th we will also have a party in the hall to celebrate the end of the event, there are usually some prizes for the best ones which are sometimes hard to judge but we manage. Last year's winner was in someone's front garden where there was a lady in a bath and a man sat on the toilet!
Workshops:
Every Tuesday from 2nd July to 30th July at 6-8pm
On Sunday 4th August (which is the start of our week) we are having afternoon tea in the hall from 3-5pm.
On Sunday 11th August (the end of our scarecrow week) in the hall we are planning a BBQ and bouncy castle.
