Our first scarecrow festival took place in 2018. Although it was quite a last minute decision the community pulled together to make a spectacular event. There were over 25 scarecrows in the trail made by residents of New Marske.
The winner of the trail was The Scarecrows Wedding.
This year the festival will take place for one week from the 24th August. Residents took a pole on a theme this year via our Facebook page New Marske Rocks and Community Events. Disney is going to be this year's theme.
This is such a lovely event where families can enjoy time together either by creating their own scarecrow or following the trail, we even had one lady last year who painted beautiful scarecrow rocks for people to find while out following the trail.
